Island View, Vilanculos

This cottage is enjoyed by those of us who want to get away from it all, switch off and relax in peace and quiet in beautiful unspoilt nature. No TV, no traffic, few people. 750 Km North of Maputo and well worth the drive. You will need a 4x4.

Live in luxury in our modern, wood and palm, elevated, island style beach cottage. Stunning views of the Basaruta archipelago across the calm bay from the covered patio where you can enjoy your meals, read, relax and catch up in comfort. Use the gas griller on the patio to prepare fresh fish, crays and prawns and eat there, or just watch the dhows. Take 15 steps to tan on the beach, swim or have a beach braai. Launch your boat into calm clear water, or take a charter to the best diving and fishing ever. Use the coconut garden shower to freshen up, then enjoy cold drinks and watch the moon over the bay in clear skies. Take a drive on a sandy bush track to Vilanculos and experience the fish and produce markets, fresh Portuguese rolls, pubs and restaurants.

Island View can sleep 8 in 4 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms. All beds have mosquito netting. Open plan, fully equipped kitchen, dining, lounge, and large covered patio where the sea breeze will cool you down. A petrol generator provides power for the geyser, deep freeze, fridge, washing machine, tumble dryer etc. Jerry cans are provided and petrol is available in Vilanculos. Petrol is not included in the rental.

Julio is there. He will welcome and assist you to settle in and will attend to the generator and water. He will wash and clean up daily if you want him for 100 met a day.
