Bordered by the Inhambane estuary on one side, Barra Lodge is set in absolute pristine surroundings. Groves of coconut trees immerse travelers in a tropical paradise filled with mid-day dreamy walks along the sandy white beaches. Barra Lodge is ideal for families and children are welcome. Accommodation consists of a choice between casitas, self catering lodges and house bunks. The casitas are built from thatch, brick and reeds, and have two beds, a shower, a toilet and a hand-basin. Sea views stretch out from picture windows. Twelve two-bedded en suite casitas and eight four-bedded en suite family casitas are awaiting you. The self-catering cottages offer a choice between two or three bedrooms plans with an open plan living area, a kitchen, a shower, a hand-basin with hot and cold water and a separate toilet. Six guests are accommodated in each cottage. Basic self-catering amenities include: a fridge/freezer, 2 plate gas stove, cutlery, crockery, pots, pans, utensils and bed linen.
Bunk houses accommodate 16 guests each, with four rooms and four beds in each. Communal ablution facilities are provided. All accommodation types feature bedding and linen, and mosquito nets. The restaurant caters for your cuisine needs, with fresh seafood dominating the menu. Enjoy the sunset and the view over the Indian Ocean while you relish the fresh prawns, calamari and fresh line fish. The beach Bar is a popular meeting point for guests and is stocked with every potion you might wish for. Wednesdays and Saturdays see the convening of evening buffets with live entertainment.
